Audrey's Evanescence influence is rubbing off me.

Had Psychology, HOI & Literature lectures. We did a poem during lit which coincidentally happened to be one of the poems I did for pure Lit last year, and I had gotten rid of all my notes and books as soon as O levels ended. Oh My God.

Had a Puffy custard cookie today, and there's the last one sitting on my desk screaming "EAT MY CALORIES" at me.

#$%@#$^%@@#$%. Its so good I could eat ten in a day.

Audrey came back from camp today, and was rather amused to find a car bumper sign Charis & I couldn't resist buying for her the day we went to Victoria Market.

It said "Horny as HELL."

:D

Anyway, went to the PlanetShakers service today. Felt really nice to be back, after leaving that type of youth services behind me for such a long time. Never thought I would want to go back, but I guess I did.

Lectures officially start tomorrow; though I don't have any, hee hee hee.

Also, my bloody student ID card hasn't arrived.

My first Chinese New Year spent without relatives, goodies and most importantly, red packets (heh heh).

Am using Audrey's (whose beside me comparing her thighs to Lindsay Lohan's) laptop and her keypad is so different from mine I keep screwing up by pressing the wrong buttons.

Anyway, went to Victoria Market and bought lots of sundresses and cool clothing cause its a frying pan here in Melbourne.

3rd day in Melbourne. It is so hot here.

Got some clothes and shoes from Witchery, Cues and Portmans. Beautiful shopping, but they close so darn early. Mom & I bumped into a lady who was the boss of Cues who coincidentally turned out to know Aunty Gee. It was like a 'shopaholics-unite!' moment, ha ha.

Speaking of which, Mom's going back to Singapore tomorrow. :(

Introductory lectures start tomorrow, and so does laundry. Ugh.

Hello Melbourne.

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

Arrived in Melbourne today at around 7 in the morning. Was rather exhausted and grouchy throughout the day; and to make things worse, its still Summer.

To be honest, the place I'm staying in is alright, but its rather depressing to walk into your room, and see nothing but blank white walls, pale yellow doors and an empty bed with the most boring design. Am aware that hostels aren't hotels, but seriously, my room back home had feature walls, excellent colour combinations, beautiful furniture and a four-poster bed. Also, the place is about 5 minutes away from the city; hence its really quiet and the pace of their livelihood is so slow it really gets to me, unlike back home in Orchard Road, where the place never sleeps.

There's really nothing like home.

So its right to work with this room. Will be going to the city with Mom to get some household crap, and hopefully some decorative items that would at least make my room look a lot more appealing to live in.

Also saw the Calculus book that Yihui bought which is the size of two Sec Four chemistry textbooks put together with very small font sizes inside. The thought of those math-drill nightmares is starting to haunt me all over again, and since I am now all on my own without the help of a tutor, its a hell lot more terrifying.

And then the good news: really good sales in town.

Results weren't as bad as I expected. Wasn't spectacular or great; but am very contented considering I started off sec 4 with my studies at rock bottom. Mom & Dad were very pleased.

Anyway, I know I did this at the beginning of the year, but I want to say a really BIG thank you to MS TAN again for guiding me through my math, and practically life in general throughout the past two and a half years. Thank you for being there even during the toughest times, with Uncle BB adding in much humour and life tips along the way. I gotta admit, I learnt a lot. :D

Aiyoh, so cliche.

Am supposed to help Mom to springclean the house tomorrow, and actually agreed for the first time in my life to do it. I think I was drugged at that point of time.

Went to Chinatown today. The thought of spending Chinese New Year alone in a foreign country, without my family, my funny aunties and relatives is extremely depressing.

Funny!

Was at Hyatt having dinner with Ms Tan, Uncle BB and all the other tuition mates, when we suddenly got to the topic of getting drunk, excessive alcohol, post-drinking toilet hugging and a lot of rude signals, ha ha.

Can't stop thinking about Friday. Planning to take my result slip, get the hell out of school and take 5 years to open up my result slip. Am constantly trying to think about the lovely two pairs of shoes I bought from Jwest and earrings from Accessorize today to keep my mind occupied. Everytime I'm alone with my thoughts, all I think about are my results; because I feel I really owe it to Miss Ho, small & big Ms Tan and am so damn bloody afraid of their crest-fallen faces if I did badly.

Honestly, I rather stick pins in my eyes than to get my results.

I swear, I'm gonna study so hard this year that my average is gonna be so damn high, I would scream, shout and run around stark naked and feel worthy of applying to a hot university at the end of the year.

Tired.

January 25th, 2007

Haven't been updating, because what I'm currently doing everyday is honestly, nearly the same thing. Sounds boring, but am actually enjoying myself. A lot.

I guess there are the perks of having one and a half months free: LOTS of spare time (all the time, actually), which means 1. More time for shopping; hence more clothes and joy, 2. No chores of waking up at 6am every morning, but at noon instead, 3. I can spend all day slogging in front of the television watching all my favourite tv serials that I rent from the videostore. To be honest, these are the only things that I've been doing, and life is so beautiful right now.

Hmm. I'm such a slug its amazing.

Watched the Golden Globe Awards just now, and fell asleep on the couch 15 minutes before it ended.

Brad Pitt + Hugh Jackman + Patrick Dempsey = YUM.

Been spending my entire week renting television serials; from Cantonese (I read the subtitles :D), to Korean, Desperate Housewives, the Scary Movie series, Grey's Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, and most recently, The Simpsons. Also, been buying a lot of crap that I need to pack before leaving for Melbourne.

Thats about it, really.
